When I first read this quote in TFioS I immediately thought of another book by author Michael Chabon titled The Mysteries of Pittsburgh which is a coming of age story about a guy named Art during his last summer “adventure” before he is locked into career for the rest of his life.
In this book, after Art meets Arthur, Phlox, Cleveland and Jane the craziness begins. It is a great read and I don’t want to spoil the whole thing for you but there are several scenes where Art and another character are talking about a cloud making factory that lies in the lost neighborhood. A book can many many things and there is something to be said about the Cloud Factory being connected to the Library at the college but to me the Cloud Factory symbolized the dreams and hopes and wishes being bled out of the lost neighborhood. Its been a while since I read the book but if you like John Green’s books then I certainly recommend this book by Michael Chabon.

365 Nerds
Hello fellow nerdfighters,
I’m getting involved in a project with a bunch of other nerdfighters. It’s called 365 Nerds, and basically, it’s a youtube channel where there’s a video made by a different nerdfighter every single day of the year, starting January 1, 2013. Trouble is, we need 365 people to sign up for it, or else we won’t get through the entire year. So, if you’re interested, you can find more info about it here.
